Thistles West

I am so happy to get my new blog page up and running. I am going to use this to tell about new things coming up on the site and some fun stories.

Western fashion has pretty much started from the very beginnings of our great nation. We have mixed Native American rich designs into printed and woven fabrics, stylized our versions of fringed jackets. Western designed yokes became a favorite for the all American cowboy in the days of the old west and is a mainstay in contemporary fashions. There are so many beautiful leathers and fabrics now to continue that wonderful tradition of true American fashion history, western design. After all, jeans were born from the historical American West! Today there are so many fashion designers, to name a few, Ralph Lauren, Dolce and Gabbana, and even Hermes putting their spin on western. Wheather traditional or not, it is fabulous! I can't begin to list all the wonderful western styled things there are out on the market right now.

I am putting up new photos from a photo shoot we did in Cody, WY by the incomparable photographer Dewey Vanderhoff. The items will also be for sale.

I am also working on designs for the two western high fashion runway shows I will be doing an Cody, WY at the end of September. The show in Cody is going to be the best ever and please check out the links to the Cody High Style Show and Contemporary Western Design sites.
